New ideas and thoughts of three-dimensional forms...

20/06/11
Having settled into a new house and new workspace, and finished editioning and binding 2 new book works, I have finally got around to working on some new ideas which have been forming for quite some time - mostly based around surface, which seems to be a recurring theme in my work. The image shows a new linocut printed on Chinese rice paper which I brought back from my visit there last year, with light shining through from behind. This has made me think about creating sculptural forms using paper, print and light - to create etherial structures which reference a particular time or place. Looking forward to exploring the idea further.
Fingers crossed a few exhibitions coming up in the next few months - i'll update as and when. Thanks for reading.
